09:00 22.9V 4A No
Generator/Electricity: Ran on battery overnight, generator not started this morning. Upon departure Casper read 2239.1hrs.

Inverter switched to off.

Fuel Status:
Gasoline containers (5gal): 2.75 red gasoline containers used to fill blue truck.
4xfull remaining, left for Don at MDRS who knows they are there.
Oil status same as yesterday, and all oil given to Don.
Yellow Diesel fuel containers wrapped in plastic bags and placed under main red tank.
Generator Main fuel tank: between half and three quarters full
Propane Tank: 45.5%

Water Status:
Internal tank: At 09:00 level was 17gal. Tank was refilled while water run down the drain to fill GreenHab. Tank now full at 50gal.
Water meter change: At 09:00 meter read 2501.3. Meter not read again before departure, sorry.
External water tank: 16 inches on deeper side after filling GreenHab
Flushes: 3
Showers: None
Internal and External pumps switched off.

Transportation: ATVS topped up with fuel. Fuel switched to 'off'. Keys given to Don. Pressurised Rover: Made it back to Salt Lake City, with fuel one eighth of a tank full. Keys left at reception.

Mars Suits: Suit gloves given to Don for washing. Suit Task Force requested inventory of suit repair supplies. This request was received too late to be attended to before we left the Hab. Apologies! But off the top of my head we need: on/off switches for PLSS, sewing needles, patch material, replacement wiring, all hoses need replacing (there are only 1-2 spares), helmet faceplates (current ones are very scratched and one was broken by a snapped bungee cord on the ATV), glove liners, batteries for radios (only a couple of AA left), more bite valves for water packs, replacement fans.

HVAC: Not used.

Computers & Network: Powered down Habcomm computer before Inverter switched off.

GreenHab: All tanks full and flowing - yes even tank 5!! TFT put back in Tank #5. Crew was asked this morning only to follow a shutdown procedure for the GreenHab, this email was received about 1hr before we were due to leave, so there was no chance to ask for clarification of instructions. For future crews, can these instructions please be sent a couple of days earlier please? As it is, we have done our best to follow them:
  • UV filter - the power cords for the machine labelled "UV light" and the pump that pumps water through it were traced and unplugged from the power socket.
  • We were asked to disconnect the power to the demand pump and the float switch. This was supposed to be possible from the fuse panel, but we could only see three unlabelled circuit breakers, so did not want to shut off something that was supposed to stay running. So we switched the actual float switch to 'off'. Could not do anything about the demand pump.
  • GreenHab levels were filled. Note that the grey water pump ALWAYS needs a prod to get it to pump.
  • Tanks being aerated are Tanks 1 and 4.
  • TF1 tank has water trickling over the bioballs, but TF2 does not.
Miscellaneous: The Hab is completely out of duct tape and packing tape, and more electrical tape would be good too. The chain to lock the front door has been cut/broken. We improvised with some wire from the box near the front door.

OK I think that's about it! Phew! Crew 40 Engineering, signing off.
