Casper generator started at 11:00am, reading 2211.3hrs. Oil checked and topped up. Generator will be switched off before midnight. At 21:00: Casper Generator Oil Pressure: 40 Generator battery voltage: on the border between 'yellow' and 'green' range Fuel Status: Gasoline Containers (5gal): 6x full, 1x quarter full, 3x empty Diesel Fuel Bottles: 2x full Oil Bottles: Generator Main Fuel Tank: just below three quarters full Propane Tank: 45.5% Water Status: Internal tank: At 09:00 water level was 36gal. At 16:15 level was 9gal, refilled to 50gal. At 21:00 level was 40. Total water used = 37gal. Water meter change: At 09:00 water meter read 2411.8. At 21:00 meter reads 2448.9. Total water used = 37.1gal. External water tank: 25 inches on deeper side Flushes: 5 Showers: 4 showers (2 more maybe later tonight) Transportation: All three ATVs used for both EVAs today. All three tanks read three quarters full at end of day, refilled to full. Oil checked on all ATVs. Rear left tire on ATV #1 almost completely flat before first EVA today. Re-inflated to normal pressure. Pressure maintained during both EVAs. Seems the valve stem can leak in certain positions, but seals ok when moved to a slightly different position. Rear left tire on ATV #2 pressure ok. Pressurised Rover: Not used. Mars Suits: No time to continue potting today. Second (replaced) fan in PLSS #5 works sporadically. Source of problem not identified yet. Instructed by Suit Force to wash all gloves in warm soapy water to attempt to remove smell. Seems the original SOP was to wash gloves after EVA, but this has not been continued - the gloves have suffered! Will do this if time tomorrow. HVAC: Neither used today. Computers & Network: Operational. GreenHab: Solved the water flow to GreenHab problem. Found the grey water holding tank and gave the pump a 'shove' which caused it to start pumping and a strong flow of water throughout the GreenHab resulted. Levels improved significantly, but not enough to account for all the showers we have taken. We suspect that all our additional grey water went into the overflow from the grey water holding tank to the leach field. More showers today and another pump 'jiggle' to keep water flowing to tank 5. Slime removed from the surface of all GreenHab tanks. Water hyacinths propagated into Tanks 2 and 4 as requested by GreenHab team. Looks healthy for the first time since we arrived! Miscellaneous: If sufficient time, will measure levelness of the floor tomorrow. Pipe in downstairs bathroom cabinet came apart today, temporarily pushed back together, but needs more permanent attachment.
