Generator/Electricity:

Generator started at 09:30. Run all day to power water heater, heating and appliances. Generator will be switched off at 11pm tonight and we plan to run on battery during the day tomorrow.

At 18:30:
Casper Generator Oil Pressure: 40
Generator battery voltage: Low in 'green' range.

Fuel Status:
Gasoline containers (5gal): 8xfull, 1xhalf full, 1xempty
Fuel from Main Diesel Tank still leaking very slowly despite all attempts to tighten connection. Leaking at one drop per 5 seconds or slower. Don is aware of this problem. Leaked full is collected and emptied into a larger container away from the generator daily.

Diesel Fuel Bottles: 2xfull

Oil Bottles:
  • Grade=30: 6xfull, 1xhalf full
  • Grade=20-50: 1xhalf full
  • Grade=5-30: 1xfull

Generator Main fuel tank: three quarters full
    Propane tank: 45.5%

    Water Status:

    Internal Tank:
  • At 10:45 level was 25gal, refilled to 50gal.
  • At 18:45 level was 30gal, refilled to 50gal.
  • At 19:45 level was 45gal.
    Total water used = 25gal

    Water Meter Change:
  • At 10:45 meter read 2344.7
  • At 19:45 meter read 2369.3
    Total water used = 24.6gal

External water tank: 31 inches on deeper side
Flushes: 4 (plus another 5 overnight)
Showers: 3 (one more planned for this evening)

    Transportation:

All three ATVs used for early EVA to Lith Canyon. ATVs #2 and #3 used for EVA to Mona Lisa canyon. Tanks all read full at the end of the day, but topped up anyway and oil checked.

    Pressurised Rover: Not used.

    Mars Suits: All operational.

HVAC: Heating used for 45mins over dinner. Requested by Engineering Support to test A/C during the day, but postponed test until tomorrow as it was too cold today.

Computers & Network: Operational. Network/internet reported to be very slow on and off during the day.

    GreenHab:
  • Tank #1: 1 inch low
  • Tank #2: 1 inch low
  • Tank #3: 1 inch low
  • Tank #4: Full, but not flowing to next tank
  • Tank #5: One fifth full

TFT moved back to Tank #4 as Tank #5 was too low for pump to reach water level. This is due to many flushes during the night, and the time delay before the evening showers from today take effect.

Pictures of GreenHab 'slime' sent to Engineering Team to determine if filtration process is working.

Miscellaneous: DC fuse box current will be measured. Please advise the expected current level as I do not want to fry my ammeter. A/C test planned for tomorrow.
