Log Book for May 2, 2005
Commander's Check-In
Anne Pacros Reporting

Weather: No rain today, scattered clouds and highs around 75F. Oh well, it just started raining now (6:30 pm)!

Crew Physical Status: all fine, the crewmember with a cold is feeling about the same as yesterday.

Brief Narrative of Today's Results: Two of us were busy in the morning to fix the generator problems with Don. The others prepared their experiments/projects and we started sim this afternoon with two EVAs.

The Schedule: Generator fixing 9 am-11 am. EVA 1: 1:30 to 3 pm. EVA 2: 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

EVA: 2, one for geological studies and student experiments, the second one for CRV (Cliff Reconnaissance Vehicle) testing.

Report Transmission Schedule: Commander check in 7 pm, Engineering report, 2 geology reports (one for today and one from yesterday that we forgot), 2 EVA reports, daily log

Maintenance: Worked out a solution for the generator, see engineering report. We will also try to patch a big hole in one of the spacesuits (agreed with Pete).

Inventory: Shannon Rupert is sending us her GPS, we should receive it on Wednesday.

Plans for Tomorrow: More EVAs, especially for student experiments. Our HSO will also do an inventory of the medical boxes to check for outdated items…

Miscellaneous: none.

Support Requested: We wanted to point the webcam to the outside through the window to have images of people on EVA. But the pictures we got were too bright (too white); how can we adjust this? Also, we were wondering if there was somewhere on the shared drive a map (A4 format or so) of the area with the roads and the 4WD tracks.
