Log Book for April 20, 2005
Commander's Check-In
Ricardo Patrício Reporting

Weather: clear vis; low 12.8C (55F), high 16.9C (62.4), 24% (dry), bit cloudy, few thunders, calm wind.

Crew Physical Status: all fine. Physically everybody is not as super fit as the first days... feeling strong and enthusiastic, though.

Brief Narrative of Today's Results: Two EVAs, generator was finally mastered, 1 casualty [lost a bubble on a helmet] , lots of fun...

The Schedule: 8am wake up call, 10am CRV EVA, 3pm Geo EVA, 6pm cogstate, 10pm relax time

EVA: CRV out on first EVA; EVA with geological purposes - I regret to report one EVA casualty: loss of our valuable geologist! [the victim of the lost bubble, i.e. the simulated casualty]

Report Transmission Schedule: Engineering Report, Daily Log, EVA reports, Geology report.

Maintenance: We found a way to control the inverter intake from the generator... we think this might do the trick; Heavy EVA maintenance/repair to be done - nothing irreversibly damaged, though.

Inventory: Mission control sent us an ATV probe containing some thermal hardware, water and gasoline.

Plans for Tomorrow: EVA material mantainence; thermal hardware prep; outreach with Canadian school kids; Hab depress sim; work out EVA procedures.

Miscellaneous: Webcam temporarily down. WeŽll have a movie tonight...
