Second day of the mission. The full simulation has not yet really started since the Beyond 2000 guys went on beyond yesterday and since Kurt had to go back to Hanksville to fix his laptop. So we’re free to move around for one more day.

Kurt and Georg took that chance to visit the unreal surroundings with the ATVs. Remon and Mat also managed to build the Cliff Reconnisance Vehicle (CRV) in the morning, while James was helping the other Aussies filming around in their Mars suits.

The afternoon was also dedicated to sending more reports, e-mails and updating websites.

Don passed by in the afternoon. We agreed that we need to use a bit more water since the GreenHab is pretty low. So two of us will be granted a shower tonight. That’ll also allow us to have a refill in water and fuel tomorrow.

Apart from that the day has been quite spicy, between Mat’s lunch tacos and Kurt’s evening soup. We had a little photo session around the Hab tonight, the 6 of us in space suits. This was our first EVA all-together and the triggering of the full simulation.
