Log Book for April 9, 2005
Commander's Check-In
Bill Clancey Reporting
Weather: partly sunny, with storms around, then cloudy and rain at 1615h; low 2.9c (37.3F at 1700h), high 13.9c (57F at 1600h), fairly heavy thunderstorms with sleet; water puddling and running around MDRS.
Crew Physical Status: ready for a quiet day and we got it.
Brief Narrative of Today's Results: Continued Boudreaux and agent testing (watch, follow, video); had to put everything away as rain approached from the north. Most people worked alone or in small groups.
The Schedule: 0900h briefing; Hanksville support groups rushed out at 1600h to avoid getting stuck in the mud; skipped afternoon meeting.
EVA: none.
Report Transmission Schedule: engineering report.
Maintenance: Thoroughly cleaned galley area; restored central galley table to original white (color determined by inspecting 2002 photos).
Inventory: nothing to report.
Plans for Tomorrow: Sunday is a day of rest.
Miscellaneous: A thunderstorm in MDRS is always exciting; it cooled twenty degrees in less than 30 minutes.
Support Requested: Where's the switch for the new downstairs water heater?
