Log Book for March 21, 2005
Commander's Check-In
Jan Osburg Reporting
EVA: We had our first EVAs today! Every crewmember received ATV and suit training, suited up, and went on a pedestrian (4 crew) or subsequent mounted (2 crew) EVA. Expect great pictures!
Crew Physical Status: Everyone is doing great.
Brief Narrative of Today's Results: Our last day before going in sim was filled with work, but we got a lot accomplished: outside cleanup, hosting Katie and her photographer from the Daily Mail, getting trained on ATVs and suits, fixing more things in and around the hab, organizing chores, reporting, etc. etc. The detailed reports will have more.
Plans for Tomorrow: First in-sim EVAs, continuing hab cleanup/organizing and updating our two-week plan. We will also inventory the medical box.
Report Transmission Schedule: other reports to follow after dinner, hopefully sooner than yesterday
Maintenance: Paul Graham and Lee were here all day and got a lot accomplished. We fixed the ATVs (all three are now in working condition - those are great ATVs, by the way - thanks to our sponsors!) and we also have four complete suits, with the fifth's backpack hopefully fixed soon.
Inventory: We think we have everything we need to accomplish our mission objectives, except for the observatory spare part (see astronomy report). The robot climber arrived today and was delivered by Paul/Lee. We reorganized all kitchen supplies
Miscellaneous: We are looking forward to entering sim tonight!
Support Requested: Nothing physical except the observatory part (we know it's being worked on - thanks!). We still need the login information for the Telemed account that is set up on the Habcom computer.
More to follow.
