Geology Report
Amber Church Reporting

The aim of this report is to summarize the geology from phase one of our rotation and give a brief overview of the research planned to continue this work during phase two.

Phase one was focused on the Red Flyer ARV and the video images captured by its camera. Although all of our flights were "test flights" and not in our planned areas of focus they did result in some very exciting images that we should be able to do a lot of work with. To give you a taste of some of the features we can deliminate in these images we have included a photo from the ARV with our initial analysis overlaid, (below). Fluvial features, stratigraphic layering and outcrop of regolith are all visible in the image.

Over the course of the next week we will ground truth these sites to aid in our geologic analysis.

And a quick preview of tomorrow's report. We found the mother-of-all-concretion sites this afternoon. We will fully report on this tomorrow once we have cleaned up the photographs for you. If you really can't wait though you might want to check out the webcam (you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse).
