Log Book for March 11, 2005
Executive Officer's Check-In
Stacy Sklar Reporting

Today was a very productive day and we have not stopped. Tonight's dinner, vegetable potato casserole, mushroom onion stuffing, and pie (we are deciding what kind as of this writing), is being prepared by Amber and Kari.

One crew member is still feeling under the weather.

After a late night session of engineering work and for the first time during our rotation, the crew watched two episodes of Battlestar Galactica provided by Randy's DVD laptop. This morning the crew caught up with research work and with the arrival of one crew member for the second phase we went on a survey of the area north of the hab to look at sites for landing as well as the geology. We found concretions (both iron oxides and calcareous) and desert varnish. The rest of the night will be focused on our research as well as cleaning.

Reports of tonight include:
  1. XO Check-In
  2. Engineering Report
  3. Commander's Log
  4. Science Report
Tomorrow's Plans: The red flyer engineering team will be leaving tomorrow and the rest of the crew will be cleaning the hab getting ready for the second phase!
