Commander's Check-In
Hugh S. Gregory Reporting

Sorry this is late, but after running the rat maze for the past 14 days we reached a common decision that a sight seeing EVA and a movie after dinner were our priority items on our last night on analogue Mars as the most short handed MDRS crew on record.

Our final day on analogue Mars has been a busy one. I've dragged myself out of my sick bed, loaded up on the cold meds and dived in to help make our last day an enjoyable one.

We got our Crew Name tags up on our stateroom doors, we fullfilled a request from Ben Hurst of Crew 34 - The Refit Crew to please make up and put their name plates on their appropriate doors. Ben sent us a list of who slept where so I delegated this to Dr. Francis and he did a job I am sure they will be proud of. He will be sending them a copy of what he did.

Adam spent two hours with Pine-sol scrubbing the toilet and shower floors so that the inbound ladies crew does not have endure the grim we inherited from the refit crew. Also we found the Ben's blanket and will return it to it's right ful owner in SLC.

Finally we stopped everything at 16:30 and went for a two hour "out of sim" PEV drive so my crew mates could show me all the neat places they discovered on their ATV EVA's last week that I never got to see in EVA myself.

Our final reports will come up over the next few days
  1. Commanders Final Report - Hugh S. Gregory
  2. Engineering Report - Anthony Francis
  3. HSO Final Report - Dr Broering, MD & Rehnberg
  4. Crew Science Final Report - Francis and Gregory
  5. Chief Engineers Final Report - Kevin Saka
Tomorrow we depart for Earth with the exception of Adam who is staying on an extra day to train the inbound Crew 36 in the changes that have been made to the HAB since they last saw it last year.

It's has been a wonderful experience and the Pisces Team looks forward to it's next Mars Society HAB mission.

Warmest Regards! Hugh S. Gregory,
Mission Commander, Pisces One Expedition, MDRS Crew 35
