Health & Safety Report
Adam Rehnberg Reporting

As per yesterday, one crewmember is still suffering from sore throat and nasal congestion. He is continously improving but is still on medication as ordered by Dr Broering.

Today the crew spent the day painting the hand railing on the front airlock stairs. Some additional painting was done to increase the safety around the Hab: the brace leg located closest to the front airlock was painted white to increase visibility at night, the iron rods or "spikes of death" that stick out of the ground at the base of each leg brace were also painted white for the same reason. Hopefully, this will decrease the risk of someone getting hurt running into obstacles when moving around the Hab in the dark.

Just like many other days, todays data gathering for the engineering report had to be done after nightfall. For safety reasons, we have decided that this should always be a two-man operation if carried out after dark as nightly trips to the generator area poses several hazards: apart from the unlikely appearance of wild animals, the risk of getting injured by falling or tripping is vastly increased in the darkness. We strongly suggest that subsequent crews adopt the same practice.
