Log Book for April 16, 2004
Health & Safety Report
Greg Michael Reporting

We made a third telemedical conference test according to a revised protocol, including Tam Czarnik in the chain once more.

Results:
Test initiated at 1338
ACK from Tam at 1342
ACK from medops2 at 1344
No response from Flight Surgeon
Repeat initiation at 1406
ACK from medops at 1409
Response from Tam Czarnik, as substitute FS, received at 1420
Response from nominal FS received at 1806

Although there are some hiccups in the elaboration of the telemedical conference, the first response is the most critical, which we received after 4 minutes. If the emergency were real, the later steps could be pushed through faster, by other means if necessary. Nevertheless, there are lessons to be learnt for future missions.
