Health & Safety Report
Julie Wardlow Reporting

End of Simulation Health and Safety Report

This has been a healthy rotation at MDRS and no major medical incidents took place. The minor medical incidents were dealt with quickly and effectively.

I am concerned that there are no oven gloves in the kitchen as we are currently using tea towels, which are often wet and then transmit heat much more quickly.

I also believe that the medical kit needs to be updated and although I labeled all the boxes, it should all be assimilated into one case with clearly defined sections. At the very least, I think the Epipen and the saline solution should be updated, as this could save someone's life.

The two H&S Reports for our rotation were submitted to Flight Surgeon Hogan. The End-of-Service Report will be submitted to him in the next few days. For more information please contact him or myself.
