GreenHab Report
Richard Humphreys Reporting
Readings:
Having been up all night due to generator problems I fell asleep and did not get up to complete the morning check.
Time: 12:00 (Both vent fans operating)
Inside Temp: 108 degrees Fahrenheit / degrees Celsius
Outside Temp: 80 degrees Fahrenheit / degrees Celsius
Relative Humidity: 63%
Time: 20:00 (South Vent fan operating)
Inside Temp: 64 degrees Fahrenheit / degrees Celsius
Outside Temp: 65 degrees Fahrenheit / degrees Celsius
Relative Humidity: 61%
Maximum Temp: unreliable reading
(new thermometer in place, working out instructions)
Minimum Temp: unreliable reading
(as above)
(All measurements in degrees Celsius are calculated from the degrees Fahrenheit reading and are to the relevant number of significant figures.)
Normal chores in the GreenHab were performed on each of these occasions.
Both aerators are working, one is in Tank #2 and one in Tank #4.
There were minimal Suds in Tank #2 although there is a build up of suds in Filter tank reservoir 1.
All plants were sprayed with water on each visit, given double the usual amount. Other than the carrots I believe that the extreme heat coupled with the power failures which prevent the fan working has caused the vegetables to reach a state that they will not recover.
The sump pump is connected to a timer which activates the system at 12:00 hours and 00:00 hours.
Water level in the plant buckets is about 1cm from the top.
The water level in Tank 5 is very low, about 1/4 of the level it should be. It appears that the TST pump was switched on accidentally by someone and not switched off until I discovered it this morning having seen the state of tank 5. I am attempting to rectify the problem by redirecting some of our other water supplies.
