Commander's Check-In
Reece Lumsden Reporting
Crew Status: The crew are tired but in good spirits.
Daily Recap: Today we were further tested by a number of issues such as the continuing saga of the troublesome generators and a new issue, in the way of an arcing weather station. We had two EVAs today:
EVA-1: Jamon, Susmita and Heather took the truck to visit a fossil site. They had the opportunity to sample many different rocks, petrified wood and a suspected dinosaur fossil (which they photographed but did not disturb). Heather took readings of her blood pressure and pulse throughout the EVA with the blood pressure cuff.
EVA-2: Richard assisted Edwin in continuing the documentary that he is making for his colleagues and students back in Belgium. Aside from this they also visited the communications repeater station on the ridge behind the hab.
Tomorrow's Plan: Tomorrow we are to be visited by a film crew making a documentary on the issues of travelling to Mars. The crew are quite excited by this and are looking forward to discussing their points of view on the issue with the film crew. Filming and interviews will be conducted during the first half of the day with probably an afternoon EVA conducted after lunch.
