Kevin Sloan Reporting

Today Crew 25 lost a person. Ryan left early this morning for a trip sponsored by ESA. While Kevin was out driving Ryan to Grand Junction, Amy, Daniel, Dennis and Jason worked on smaller tasks around the Hab, bringing it back to an organized state for this weekend's switch over to Crew 26.

After Kevin returned at the end of the morning, Amy, Jason and Daniel headed out on an EVA, attempting to find the elusive dinosaur bones in Lithe Canyon. They were able to find the location, but were unable to find the actual fossils. EVA 16 also ventured to Muddy Creek, where they found that there was a good 20 meter vertical drop at the creek. On their way back to the Hab, the EVA went exploring out on Cactus Road. EVA 16 ended up being the longest for Crew 25, clocking in at just over 5 hours.

While they were out, Dennis kept himself occupied with several tasks around GreenHab. Among those tasks were installing new immersion heaters for the tanks, and getting the HOBO Shuttle running to download data from the sensors. During this time Kevin was hard at work bringing the PSUMS Rover online. Unfortunately the PSUMS crew members never had as much time as would have been desired to work with their rover project, as countless other objectives occupied much of the crew's time. Despite several hardware issues, the rover was brought online, and the team will be able to do testing tomorrow.

This evening the crew continued wrapping up many of their tasks around the Hab, getting ready for the crew change over this weekend. Tomorrow will be the last day for Amy, Jason and Kevin, as they have to leave early Saturday morning for their trip back to Pennsylvania. Daniel and Dennis will be here through Sunday for the change over.
