Commander's Check-In
Digby Tarvin Reporting
Crew Physical Status: One crew member is suffering limited mobility due to a foot injury sustained prior to arrival at MDRS. The rest of the crew are healthy and in good spirits.
Brief Narrative of Mission Results: The crew spent the first day at MDRS sorting and storing the food stuffs, testing and maintaining hab systems, as indicated in the engineering report and conducting a suit familiarisation foot EVA of about one hour's duration.
Plans for Tomorrow: Tomorrow we plan some unsuited ATV familiarization, leading to going into sim by the end of the afternoon.
Report Transmission Schedule: The reports that are going to be sent this evening will be
- This Check-in Report
- Commander's Report
- EVA Report
- Geology Report
- Journalists Report
- Engineering Report
The reports will be submitted by 21:30 this evening.
Inventory: Food stocks are good. Fuel is good. We experienced some trouble pumping water into the storage tank above the state room in the morning. We suspect that this was due freezing in the tank or pipes, as the problem resolved itself by the early afternoon.
Support Requested: Resupply of potable water. Maintenance of the pumping of grey water to the green hab. ATV 3 needs maintenance as described in the engineering report.
