General Engineering Report
Tony Muscatello Reporting
Generator/Electricity: Voltage steady at 250 vac. Amperage varies according to load observable from 1 to 3 amps. Frequency 60.3 Hertz and DC volts steady at 14.3 vdc.
Propane Tanks: #1 tank (North side) is now at 71%. #2 tank (South side) has been measured at 76% as well. The furnace tank is currently at 91%. The Hobbs meter is at 1955.3 as of 2:00 pm today. A quick calculation indicates that we have reduced our gas consumption to about 5% of the available propane gas per day. This reduction in gas consumption is due in great part to a conscientious effort by the crew. We are lowering the heat at night, turning off the water heater when not needed and numerous other austerity measures. It is recommended that careful monitoring of the gas supply is done to again use the minimum required. This new supply needs to last another 2.5 weeks.
Water: The water tank is currently at 55 gallons after a filling this morning. This reflects a usage of 22 gallons over a period of 24 hours. The outside main storage tank is about 100% full (refilled by Larry Ekker today). We have been using between 4 and 5 gallons per person per day.
Additional Activities: Larry Ekker changed the oil and filter in the Generac today. Crew 13 should stop the generator once a day and check the oil (per Larry Ekker). Mission Support should verify that they have done so.
